Nedcoffee Việt Nam’s factory in Daklak is certified as in compliance with UTZ ® Good Inside – Chain of Custody. We have established a network of partner-producers who are committed to supply us approx 3,000 tons of UTZ certified green coffee a year.





Since 2009 we have been working with various external partners in joint-project to enhance sustainability in coffee production for 700 farmers in Dak Nong province. The project is established under an integrated Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) project between Nedcoffee Vietnam Co., Ltd and the Environmental Protection and Management of Natural Resources (EPMNR) Project with the goal to improve the technical skills in order to reduce inputs and increase output, at the same time improve the coffee quality for coffee farmers in Dak Nogn Province, Vietnam basis on the Good Agriculture Practice (GAP), Good Processing Practice (GPP), Farm Economy Management, the Common Code for Coffee Community (4C).

Our public partner, The Environmental Protection and Management of Natural Resources (EPMNR) Project, is itself a PPP project between the government of Dak Nong Province and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ), or the German Agency for Technical Cooperation.

Total budget: €35,854.

Objective
Promote sustainable coffee production and marketing in two Districts (Dak Song, Tuy Duc) of Dak Nong Province, Central Highlands, Vietnam.

Target groups
700 coffee farmers in Dak Song and Tuy Duc district of Dak Nong province

  1. Expected results
    700 coffee farmers in Dak Song and Tuy Duc district of Dak Nong province
  2. Raise awareness on sustainable coffee production and to introduce the project objectives, partners and conditions for participation for coffee producers; register at least 700 farmers on a voluntary basis.
  3. Capacity of extension trainers and key farmers will be strengthened through Training of Trainers program on methodology (PAEM), technical production and processing (GAP) aspects and FEM.
  4. Production management efficiency for smallholder coffee producers will strengthen productivity and coffee quality will improve through the Farmer Field School training program (FFS) on Good Agricultural Practices (GAP).
  5. Improve farm management efficiency through strengthening coffee producers’ capacity on basic accounting and record keeping on production and processing management.
  6. Visit to running coffee projects in Lam Dong, Dak Lak or Gia Lai. Create awareness for sustainable agriculture through visits of research centers, projects and model farms. Create awareness for project beneficiaries on processing steps up in the supply chain through visits of trading and roasting companies.
